Booking Terms

We are delighted you are interested in our self-catering farmhouse. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Booking Deposit

We ask for a 20% or £200 non-refundable deposit (whichever is greater) payable upon reservation. The balance is due six weeks before you arrive.

Payment of Balance

The outstanding balance is payable six weeks before your arrival date. We offer the following three payment options which will also be advised to you by e-mail seven weeks in advance:

  • Payment by direct bank transfer (preferred) – bank account details will be included in the email. There is no charge for this option.
  • Payment by cheque (made payable to William Galbraith). There is no charge for this option.
  • Payment by credit card through the Supercontrol Booking system on our website. There is an additional charge for this option, owing to processing fees.

Arrival and Departure

Our farmhouse will be ready for guests from 4pm on your arrival date and departure is any time before 10am.

Cancellations

Should you have to cancel your holiday after you have paid for your break in full, we will endeavour to re-let those dates. If that is possible, we will refund any balance less the initial deposit which you paid on reservation which is non-refundable. We advise that you have your own travel insurance to cover all eventualities.

We reserve the right to cancel your booking and re-let the property if you do not pay the balance due six weeks prior to your arrival date. The initial deposit is non-refundable.

Breakages

We’d greatly appreciate it if you could let us know if anything is broken. We would like to ensure it is either replaced or repaired as soon as possible.

Cleaning

The farmhouse is cleaned, and beds made up for your arrival. We ask that when you leave, you leave it looking neat and tidy. There are cleaning products, washing machine and vacuum cleaner available. For lets of longer than one week, we will refresh the bedlinen and clean the property on a weekly basis.

Should you wish any additional cleaning, this can be arranged for an additional charge.

Beds, Linen and Towels

All beds are zip and link – please let us know if you’d like to change the set-up from 3 Doubles and 1 Twin a week prior to your arrival. A full set of linen and towels including a bath sheet and hand towel per person and tea towels are all provided at no extra cost. We have some additional towels for use in the hot tub.

Dogs

We allow a maximum of two dogs free of charge. Please let us know in advance if you are bringing any four-legged friends. And don’t forget to bring beds for your pets, food and water bowls and towels for muddy paws.

Logs

All initial logs for the fire are provided free of charge.

Catering

We can arrange catering for your guests if arrangements are made in advance. We use a local private catering company who would be happy to discuss any needs you may have. This can be arranged for an additional charge.
